FBR IRIS not working? Find the next step
Start with the problem you can see: a page that will not load, rejected login details, a missing verification code or a form error.
The page will not load
- Check that the address is iris.fbr.gov.pk and that another ordinary website loads on your connection.
- Try a private browser window. If that works, a saved session or browser extension may be involved.
- Try another connection or device if one is available. Avoid repeatedly refreshing a form with unsaved work.
- If FBR displays a maintenance or access-block message, follow the official notice or contact its support.
One failed connection does not establish a nationwide outage. This guide does not provide live service status.
The login details are rejected
Check the registration number, password, Caps Lock and any extra spaces. Make sure you are using the correct individual or business account. If the password still fails, use the official reset/recovery option.
A verification code is not arriving
- Confirm that you can access the email and mobile registered for that account.
- Check spam/junk email and mobile reception.
- Use the resend option on the official form and enter the newest code in the correct field.
- If one of the registered contacts is no longer available, use account recovery instead of repeating the same reset.
The session ends or the page resets
Save your work where the portal allows it, then sign in again. Work in one tab for the task and avoid switching accounts in the same browser session. A private window can help separate a fresh session from old browser state.
Do not assume that a page refresh saved or submitted a form. Check its status after returning to the portal.
A form shows an error
- Read the full message and check any highlighted field.
- Record the form name, the step and the time the error occurred.
- Check whether a saved draft or submitted record already exists before repeating a submission.
- Contact FBR with the error details if the same issue continues. Keep passwords and verification codes out of the message.
