Hoodie HS code in Pakistan: how to classify a hooded top
A hoodie is a knitted top with a hood, so it belongs with the pullover family in the Pakistan Customs Tariff. Heading 61.10 covers jerseys, pullovers, cardigans and similar knitted articles, and the fibre decides which line applies. This page compares those lines.
All rows come from the official Pakistan Customs Tariff FY 2026-27 published by FBR. Page numbers point into that document.
Where a hoodie sits in the tariff
A standard hoodie is a knitted or crocheted top with a hood. That puts it in the pullover family, not with shirts or jackets. The tariff heading is 61.10: jerseys, pullovers, cardigans, waistcoats and similar articles, knitted or crocheted.
The tariff classifies the garment by what it is and how it is made, not by the trade name. So two hoodies can sit in different lines when the fibre differs. The first split under 61.10 is fibre, and that is the one that decides most hoodies.

Facts to check before you choose a line
- Knitted or woven. A hooded sweatshirt is normally knitted, so start at 61.10. A woven hooded top sits in chapter 62 instead.
- Fibre. Cotton is 6110.2000. Polyester and other man-made fibres are 6110.3000. Wool and fine animal hair split further at 6110.1100 to 6110.1900.
- Blend. Where a garment mixes fibres, classify by the fibre that gives it its essential character. Read the chapter notes on the tariff page when the blend is close.
- Garment family. Keep a pullover-family top apart from a jacket. Padded or wind-resistant jackets, anoraks and wind-cheaters compare under 61.01 and 61.02 when knitted, or 62.01 and 62.02 when woven.
- Printed notes. Chapter and section notes can refine or exclude a heading. The official tariff page holds them.
If the hooded top is a jacket
A hooded jacket is built differently from a hooded sweatshirt. When it is lined, padded or wind-resistant, compare the anorak and wind-cheater headings instead: 61.01 for men's or boys' knitted outer garments and 61.02 for women's or girls', or the woven pair 62.01 and 62.02. The construction and the fibre then decide the line.
Check the candidates in the finder
Each link opens the free Pakistan HS code finder with the query filled in. The finder reads the same official tariff.
What this page does not do
It compares candidate lines from the official tariff. It does not issue a binding classification, and it shows no duty value and no sales-tax rate. Where two lines still fit, confirm the code with a customs agent or FBR before you file. Email [email protected] with a correction.
